My growing-up years were full of lively dinners and frequent guests. The joy of eating together with family and friends is something that has continued throughout my life. I want to share this joy with you.

Professionally, I started my career as a nurse, went on to become a certified nurse-midwife, and finally became an ob-gyn physician. During my busy years in medical school and residency, my husband and I shared meal preparations. We always sat down to dinner together as a family, despite our hectic schedules. Our two children often had their friends join us at the table resulting in delight and laughter.

These days, when all the family members are all together, things are really exciting. Now, I work part-time in a community clinic. I have a large vegetable garden, two grandchildren, a dog, and a grand dog. I love sharing my knowledge of food preparation and gardening. The purpose of this blog is to encourage family connections through the enjoyment of cooking and eating together, while exploring new healthy foods, and making mealtimes festive and memorable.
